Thoughts: Sacred Heart remains the team to beat both in the actual standings and in the Power Ranks.

RIT moves up a spot to 2nd place after a great weekend against nationally ranked UMass Lowell. Despite the series split RIT kept up / won the battle in terms of shots and possession.

Robert Morris events out after their drop last week. They’ll likely start to climb again if they can get back to their earlier season form.

Canisius struggled a ton early on but is starting to find some wins against conference opponents. This has them rising in the ranks to 7th while Mercyhurst and Niagara play keep away with the last spot.

College Hockey America Power Ranks

Thoughts: No changes despite a number of key conference series taking place this previous week. The only thing I am surprised about here is that Penn State did not overtake RIT for the 4th spot. RIT split the weekend with Robert Morris but was otherwise overmatched and relied on goaltending to keep them in the games. The likely cause is Penn State’s wins came against much weaker competition.
